Born and raised in New York City, Shalom embarked on his academic and professional journey by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Yeshiva University. Shalom is an active member of the Hevra Kadisha of the Young Israel of West Hempstead and leads the Normandy Heritage Project. His leadership extends to his role as the former president and board chairman of Camp Morasha, an outdoor summer camp that enriches the lives of Jewish youth.
