About Shalom Lamm

Shalom Lamm is a distinguished individual with a diverse background in real estate investment, community service, and military history.

Born and raised in New York City, Shalom embarked on his academic and professional journey by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Yeshiva University. His passion for learning and entrepreneurship propelled him into the real estate sector, where he has established a significant presence. Shalom held ownership interests in various businesses and served as the managing member of Lion and Lamm Development in New York City for nearly a decade.While managing his career and dedicating time to his family of five children, Shalom’s thirst for knowledge led him back to academia.

He pursued a Master’s in US Military History at American Military University in Manassas, Virginia. This decision was driven by pure fascination with the subject, rather than a career shift. Shalom’s dedication to his studies, amidst his professional and personal responsibilities, showcases his commitment to lifelong learning.Currently residing in the Long Island hamlet of West Hempstead, Shalom is deeply involved in his community. He serves as a mentor to immigrants, offering guidance and support to those new to the country.

Shalom is an active member of the Hevra Kadisha of the Young Israel of West Hempstead and leads the Normandy Heritage Project. His leadership extends to his role as the former president and board chairman of Camp Morasha, an outdoor summer camp that enriches the lives of Jewish youth.

Project Benjamin

In addition to his notable accomplishments in real estate and community service, Shalom has made significant contributions to the Jewish-American community through his initiative, Operation Benjamin. This project aims to honor the memory of Jewish-American servicemen by ensuring their grave markers accurately reflect their faith. Through this endeavor, Shalom has successfully changed the grave markers of five Jewish-American soldiers to the Star of David, starting with Benjamin Barney Garadetsky.Shalom Lamm of West Hempstead is not only a successful real estate entrepreneur but also a military historian and a respected speaker. His efforts, particularly through Operation Benjamin, have provided a lasting impact on recognizing and honoring the contributions of Jewish-American servicemen.
